Chargers off to a good start
The Chargers were down 10-0 after the 4th quarter but were able to come back and lead 17-10 before the end of the 2nd quarter. The Chargers got an interception with less than 30 seconds in the first half and threw a pick and missed the chance to add at least 3 points. The Titans soon showed that kicking to Chris Johnson is a mistake and are able to return a kick for a TD in the second half. The Chargers are down 17-24 and then, with 3:50 left in the 4th, the Chargers are able to score a touchdown, and decide to go for it because you know what The Eddy says “Tying is for losers.” The Chargers fail to get the two point conversion and are now losing. The Chargers are able to get a three and out, but then fail to convert on a needed fourth down later in that drive. With less than 2:40 left in the game, Chris Johnson is able to get a first down on the first play, milking the clock to the 2 minute warning. The Chargers were then able to lock down the Titans’ offense and were able to get the ball back. They scored with under 40 seconds left in the game, and then decided to go for two again because you know what The Eddy says “Leading by a field goal is for losers.” They fail to convert again. Now the Chargers have to stop the Titans. The Titans had one time out left with 17 seconds left in the game, Vince Young hikes the ball, scrambles since he can’t see anybody open and get sacked by Shaun Phillips and fumbles the ball, his player falls on it first but Jacque Cesaire is ready to fight for it. The bar was well on the Titans’ side, but due to The Eddy’s awesome button smashing ability, he is able to recover it and wins the game! The Chargers are now off to their first 1-0 start! The Chargers are now ready to face their division rivals, the Oakland Raiders this week and take a large lead in the playoff race.

xXTHeEddYXx: My players were able to fight hard in this for the win, there were a couple of drop balls here and there and too many turnovers as well. We need to take care of the ball, but luckily our defense was able to cause turnovers as well when it counted. I don’t think this is the end of our meeting with the Titans as we expect to see them again in the postseason on our turf this time.

Browns Win SB!!!!
After years and years of being buried in the pile of the suck, Coach MJ led the Browns to the franchises first ever SB.
Very good game here. It started with a pick 6 for me on a pass attempeted to colston. He then got the ball and got a FG 7-3 me. My next drive I drive all the way downfield but get forced to a FG. I kick the ball off and give up a KO return to Henderson 10-10. I get forced to punt. He gets ball and gets to the goalline but as Brees tries to find the endzone he fumbles. We then go into half my ball coming out.

I get ball and get picked off on a Rocket attempt to Robiskie. He then drives downfield and punches it in with 1:26 left in the third. I get ball and regroup and drive down to his 26…i then throw a Rocket to Brain Robiskie in triple coverage, he get hit, flipped over and STILL holds on lol. 17-17 with 3:15 left in the game. he gets ball and starts drivins, he’s at my 44 under two minutes remaining its first and 10. First down he runs gets nothing. Second down he runs gets two…he is on my 42. Third down..incomplete pass. 4th and 8 on my 42 he decides to kick a 59 yarder. The kick is up and accurate but hits the crossbar and its NO GOOD! I then get the ball at my own 47 and manage my way up in easy FG position and kick a 2 yd game winning FG as time expired.

Season 1 Playoffs

The PS3 playoffs were fun to see.  I had a BYE in the Wild Card because my opponent was inactive and I was matched up with Jerms311 who destroyed me.  Sabotage, who was the player of the year, advanced to the conference championship as well.  Titansooners, who was fairly new to the league come playoff time, was able to make it to the playoffs and making it to the conference championships.  Mafiahero had a BYE in the first round and a BYE in the second round because his opponent was inactive.  He lost to Titansooners leading to a Superbowl between Titansooners and Jerms311.  They both played a good game but Titansooners came out with the victory winning 21-19.  We see potential in Titansooners throughout the existence of the TMFL and we hope to have him for many seasons to come.   Congratulations to Titansooners!*

New Requirement in the League

In order to help improve the communication of all our members in the league, we will be requiring that you use your AIM account.  There are many active players that are always on their AIM account looking for people who want to play their games.  Be sure to place your AIM Screename on your leaguedaddy profile and even your forum profile to make it easier to find your AIM account.  If your originally signed up to the league and said you didn’t have an AIM account, create one and notify me by E-Mail, PM, and even using AIM.  You can download AIM for free here.  If you don’t want to download and install software to your computer, you can use these in-browser alternatives:

You can also find other ones, but those are, in my opinion, the best.  Those will work in your internet browser.

This play is taken from the Madden Federation and will now be enforced in our league.  If you have any comments and/or questions, please say so now.

The end of season 1 is approaching and many of you are left wondering if you’re going to make the playoffs.  We can’t obviously require you to complete all your games in order to make the playoffs since that’s of course not going to happen.  We have decided that we will approach the playoffs by admitting the most active players in the league.  This will help thank the players that have worked their butts off trying to compete their league games.  If someone finished 4-12, it would be better than a 9-0 record with the method that we’re using.  Right now, if the playoffs were to start as of today.  The TMFL-PS3 AFC playoffs would look like this:

1. Denver Broncos
2. Houston Texans
3. Miami Dolphins
4. Pittsburgh Steelers
5. Oakland Raiders
6. San Diego Chargers

If you check the standings at the leaguedaddy page for the PS3 league, you will see that the Steelers have horrible records (no offense).  They will make the playoffs because of their efforts in the league.  If you have any suggestions or comments, please say so.

Season 2 Draft

The TMFL uses default rosters.  There are many complaints that this isn’t really fair for the Detroit Lions owner.  We have to do our best to keep it fair.  We will be drafting teams for Season 2 and every season after that.  The people with high draft picks will be the most active as well.  The worst out of the most active will choose first obviously, then going to those who are better and active.  Inactive people will get to choose afterwards.  It’s another way to thank the active members in our league.  If I had to do the list for the draft right now, the first 5 picks would be:

1. Oakland Raiders
2. Pittsburgh Steelers
3. San Diego Chargers
4. Denver Broncos
5. Miami Dolphins

Once again, you can see that the active people get a high draft pick.  The Denver Broncos, despite being top seed at the moment, will have a high draft pick due to their activity in the league.  If you have any suggestions or comments, please say so.
