Well, the first season of the TMFL is almost here. Since we want everyone to have teams that are pretty much the same in skill, we are doing a fantasy draft. This will help bring down excuses such as: “You only won because I used the Lions and you used the Patriots.” Well, here are the dates and times for the fantasy drafts:
Xbox 360:
Monday August 24th at 9pm EST
PS3:
Sunday August 23rd at 8pm EST
This will be ther first few rounds. After that, we’ll determine when we’ll do the other rounds in the middle of the week. The dates will be posted here, our forums, and Emailed to you. Good luck everyone!
With big things to come for the league and the madden community, I decided we should create a better look for the league! If there is any bugs please use the contact form to tell me. Thank you!
I made this to help promote the game and our league.

1. What made you want to start MSP?
Well I wanted a Hub were all sim players can go to with out worrying about cheaters.
2. How big do you expect MSP to be by the end of 2009?
Well Im not looking for big, im looking for sim. Even if we had 10 guys, id be happy because, I know at the end of the day when I want to play a online sim game, I can get one.
3. Do you believe that you would be able to change the people to SIM?
Asking that is like asking beta males to “Man up”. The way madden is going I think its going to force the B.S. madden gamers to play real X’s and O type football. Some guys are just built not to win. So instead they get pleasure out of cheating. or looking for the quick fix. From women to madden, no one respects a half or man who cheats. I just dont get how a person can call himself a man and Cheat like a woman LOL
4. Are there any big names that are supporting Madden Sim Players?
Hell no!! All the big names are guys are the ones who dont know the rules of real football. Our site is for real men who want to play real NFL style football. We dont need big names, all we need is Sim players. But now a days most guys dont go outside anymore and play football like we use to back in the day. It is what it is but one thing I know. I will be sim on our site.
keep it 100 or go home!
Whenever someone receives an invite to an unknown league they always seem to respond: “Why should I join your league?”
There are a lot of successful madden leagues out there and makes it hard for a new league to compete because they have a lot of ground to make up. As a result of this, new leagues will quite often look at what other leagues offer and try to imitate them, many times it results in failure. Most of the features that big leagues offer are only possible because they’re big leagues. This makes new league have to shut down before they’re even halfway through their season. Here at the TMFL, we don’t want to imitate other leagues, we’re doing things that no other league has done before. If we do something that is similar to what another league is doing, we want to do it better than them, show them how it’s really done. This will convince people that we’re the best upcoming league and join us.
Some leagues try to seperate the community by offering SIM or Freestyle only leagues. They usually hate the other style of play because they can never agree on what is fair game. Both styles of play offer good arguments but no one can really say who is really right. Here at the TMFL, we’re going to offer the best in-between style of play. We don’t consider ourselves SIM nor Freestyle, we don’t know if there’s a name for what we are, we’re just a league that wants to have fun. If in the future people request a Freestyle league, then I’ll make an extra league but for those who play Freestyle. We will keep everyone happy, no one is going to be disappoined here at the TMFL.
What many leagues seem to lack is support from the community or big names. You see all the big names with huge names supporting them. The EAFL has The Madden Lab and BringIt, The LEX has GEICO, you get my point. This is one of the first things that the league set out to find, support. Our biggest supporter has to be MaddenIQ.com no doubt. Cap, the owner of MaddenIQ, is one of the biggest supporters of the Madden community. He has invested a lot of time and money into the site to make sure it’s the best place for Madden players to improve their game. We have also teamed up with Madden Sim Players. Madden Sim Players was started by Coach Ruckus, the best SIM Madden player to have ever played the game. He has shown that you don’t need to play FreeStyle to compete against the best. We’re proud to be part of Madden Sim Players. A soon to be big name that we teamed up with is the Madden Alliance. It was created by DaGrandChampion commissioner of the LEX. He created it to support the community and Madden leagues.
Something that most leagues lack, whether they’re a small league or one of the biggest, is the ability to listen to the ideas of their league members. There are a lot of commissioners that don’t think that anybody’s ideas other than his won’t work. Here at the TMFL, we’re going to run by the ideas of our members. If you want to do something extra for the league such as interview players…we’ll give you a sub-blog here at Maddenholics.com and you can post the interviews you give to players. We’re open to any ideas here at the TMFL.
We’re still coming up with more ideas to make this league the best! We are doing a radio show to discuss what’s happening in the league, power rankings to determine who is the best in the league, tournaments at MaddenIQ.com, and soon more to come.
